Accolades pouring for Chinmayee for VTV dubbing

For some weird and strange reasons and one which has become a sick routine in Tamil films, actresses like Trisha and Sneha (who are well-versed in Tamil) decide to give the skip when it comes to dubbing in their own voices for their respective characters in films. Trisha, whose latest film ‘Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya’ opposite Simbu has been doing a roaring business, was widely expected to dub in her own voice but didn’t do so.

Singer Chinmayee, who lent her voice to Tamannaah’s character in the film ‘Kandein Kaadhalai’ which went a long way in making it a reasonably successful film, has done the same to Trisha this time. Chinmayee’s joy is double-edged as she has also sung the popular song ‘Anbil….’ in the film, which is topping the musica charts nowadays.
Chinmayee has been getting accolades from various quarters for both her dubbing for Trisha as well as for the song. Though she has dubbed for many popular heroines in the past, it’s for the first time that the concerned actress rang her up and ‘thanked’ her for lending her voice. Trisha reportedly rang her up and appreciated and thanked her for having dubbed for her in the film.

Incidentally, in the Telugu version featuring Samantha in Trisha’s role, Chinmayee has also dubbed for Samantha in Telugu.
